How do you feel ? Understanding Emotions and Expressing in different ways

How do you respond when someone suddenly asks you about "How do you feel?". If you are good at literature you might answer this question effectively but many of us will answer as "I am feeling good".

In a program, an instructor asked participants about how do they feel by attending the exercises used in the program, actually he was trying to take feedback from the participants. Participants explained in so many ways but instructor kept on interrupting the person about how do they feel. They use to pause for a while and say they are feeling good.


So, next time if someone asks you "How do you feel?", you can answer in plenty of ways. Understand your emotions and express it in form of words. You can answer in the following ways:

1. I am feeling connected .............
I am feeling connected with other participants.
I am feeling connected with the core values of the program.
I am feeling connected with the positive environment.

2. I am feeling confused  .................
I am feeling confused between the program and its theme.
I am feeling confused about learning new exercises.
I am feeling confused in understanding the main use of this program.

3. I am feeling great ..............
 I am feeling great to know about new ideas of this program.
 I am feeling great about the diversity of the participants.
 I am feeling great to gain new experiences in life.

4. I am feeling scared ..................
I am feeling scared about the consequences of these games.
I am feeling scared about the effectiveness of the program.
I am feeling scared knowing people's stories.

5. I am feeling inspired ...............
I am feeling inspired being in this program.
I am feeling inspired by understanding the contribution of this program.
I am feeling inspired and convinced.

6. I am feeling sarcastic ...............
I am feeling sarcastic about the venue.
I am feeling sarcastic as my mood has swung.
I am feeling sarcastic about my level of understanding.


7. I am feeling surprised ............
 I am feeling surprised because of the unexpected events that have happened.
 I am feeling surprised about the positivity of this program.
 I am feeling surprised to know this emerging concept.

8. I am feeling happy ..........
I am feeling happy to meet new people here.
I am feeling happy to participate in this program.
I am feeling happy about knowing each person's lives.

9. I am feeling excited ...............
I am feeling excited to join here.
I am feeling excited to meet new friends.
I am feeling excited to be trained in this concept.

10. I am feeling confident ................
I am feeling confident now as I feel I can also contribute on my own.
I am feeling confident at the moment.
I am feeling confident as I understand my emotions and control it.

There are many ways to express your emotions and trying new patterns can really enhance your level of understanding your emotions. Try it.

Behavioral approach in Clinical Psychology

APSARA KATUWAL  DANGOL Behavioral approach is based on the belief that behavior can be learned. It focuses on a scientific and objective method of investigation. It is also concerned with observable Stimulus-Response behaviors. This approach also focuses on learning's role in developing both normal and abnormal behavior.
